Free Music Training

Did you ever want to learn more about the piano or organ? Do you ever wish you could conduct music. You can learn more about all these items and more at the upcoming Music Training May 14th from 9:30-12 at the Coal Mountain GA Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

This is an opportunity to grow in skill and wisdom to be of better service in the Lord’s Kingdom. Trained and skilled musicians will be available that morning to teach and guide.

When Moses called for help in construction of the tabernacle, those with wise and willing hearts stepped up and volunteered. They had developed themselves and their skills before the call. Music functions in the same way. We learn and practice, then learn more and practice more so we can step up when the call and need arise.

The training session titled “Something All Can Give” comes from the primary song “Give Said the Little Stream”. In our hearts we can all sing the refrain “Give oh give away”.

We have planned classes but they are flexible and we will help anyone with other music needs or questions: The classes are as follows:

  • Music Coordinator as Detective & Other Job Descriptions
  • No More Fear – Introduction to Organ and Piano
  • Before the Meeting – Prayerful, Planned Preludes
  • Singing Again and the Post Pandemic Choir
  • Expanding Your Music Library: Resources & Examples
  • Open Discussion About Church Music with Q&A
  • Demo of ‘Other’ Instruments & Their Use
